Its a bit chilly out there

Life in Scotland (although) in line with Canada (like most of the UK) ) very rarely gets that cold or ses that much snow however according to some news sites this morning aviemore got to a nice -11C last night the coldest its been in the UK for about 10 years apparently. Whats more there is still snow on the ground here another unusual traight. For the most part when it snows in Dundee overnight it usually melts within an hour, however there is still only about 1cm of the stuff and so buiding a snowman is out of the question but its been there since Tuesday and they are forecasting some more over the coming days before in true british style it disapears by the new year as the temperatures are due to rise above freezeing and become warmer so that it all melts.
On a sporting note my teams seemed do rather well last night with Aston Villa congering a draw at Fulham (soccer) (yes we allow nobody to win at sport in the UK) and then over night the MN Wild struck 4 past the Oilers but conceeded two and the Timberwolves beat Seattle with NYR also winning to round off rather a good evening of sport, just wish my fantasy team would do as well.

Dont count your Chickens before they hatch

Well I last updated this site about 6 Hrs ago and no longer had I signed out and logged off did some white stuff fall from the sky. Talk about divine intervention, granted it still hasn't snowed it was more like hail stones but the ground is still white and there is a definite base there for any snow that may fall. The BBC are forcasting snow and below freezing temps for today with a high of -2 there is a possibility that we may actually get a ground covering, heres hoping.

Well as things go it is now late and almost time 4 bed all thou I am still stuffed from an evening meal at my sisters partners parents house, some drinks and a game of Cranium. What a fantastic game, a must for any party 4 teams of as many player that you wish all trying to act out people, charecters, scenes like charades or build something out of playdo, whistle songs and answer questions, definitely fills an evening.

Going north must mean Cold and Snow, Doesnt It?

You would think that travelling 500 mile North for Christmas would mean that the weather would be colder and that you were more likely to get snow, well like me you would think wrong. Why you ask well today whilst watching the news there were reports of heavy snow and blizzards in the South East of England where I spend mos of my time as I live to the SW of London (Ive not had it confirmed that it is actually snowing there I must point out) however my current occation is at my parents house in Scotland about 500 miles North of London (roughly) there is no sign of snow at all.

Well hopefully Ill get to see some snow before too long as it adds to the enjoyment of the season.

Xmas done 2005

Well it's now gone midnight and another Xmas has passed. It seems strange but they seem to get shorter each year, Im sure that they dont but it just feels that way.

Nothing this year got started Xmas wize today until nearly 3 as my mum had to work this morning. However Santa came and we ate Xmas Dinner as normal although slightly later at 5pm instead of three so we got to watch the Queens speach.

We didnt finish opening presents until about 9pm before playing some Cludo and going to meet some of my sisters friends for a drink.

Life seems strange when you are at home but still dont feel at home since you live hundreds of miles away.

Well hope you all had a great Xmas.
